Welcome
Hi, I’m Katie.
Have you ever met a little kid who would organize your closets, or track down every last toy piece and put it back in the right box? That was me. And as an adult… I still love doing that.
It’s also what I do at work: translate chaos into systems.
I joined Pinterest at a pivotal moment. The brand was already beloved with 800+ employees, but the advertising business was just getting off the ground. I partnered directly with senior sales executives to redesign the go-to-market, transitioning from premium $50 CPMs to an auction-based model and building the operating infrastructure to scale the sales organization. I led a global Sales Operations team and drove international expansion, including the ads launch in South America.
In my (biased) opinion, the Pinterest Sales Ops team was best-in-class. We were principled, buttoned-up, and smart about how we operated: forecasting, tooling, process, analytics, planning. It was a well-oiled machine… with a lot of manual work. I don’t want to think about how many hours I spent on certain tasks; AI would have been a life saver. But I learned what “great” looks like, and I’ve carried those lessons with me ever since.
After six years at Pinterest, I didn’t want to spend my energy layering new processes onto a company that already had plenty (especially when I wasn’t convinced those processes would materially move revenue). I wanted to go back to the beginning and learn what it really takes to build from the ground up.
So I joined Attain early and became the first (and only) revenue operations person for the first year or so. That meant everything: choosing and implementing tools, building processes from scratch, and constantly adjusting as we tested strategies and scaled. Over time my role broadened. I still oversee RevOps, but I’m also involved across a few other parts of the business.
I love building. I love taking something messy and making it clean. I love efficient processes, smart automation, crisp documentation, and systems that make people’s lives easier. If there’s a better way to do something, I want to find it, tailor it, test it, and document it.
Suddenly Automated is where I share what I’ve built, what I’ve learned, and what I’m still learning. If you like practical systems, thoughtful tooling, and a little bit of chaos turned into leverage, you’re in the right place.
